The history of Lyngby Baseball & Softball Club

Lyngby Jokers Baseball & Softball Club is a Danish baseball and softball club based in Kongens Lyngby. The club has both youth and senior baseball teams as well as an adult team in slowpitch softball, and participates in Danish leagues as well as international tournaments.


Lyngby Jokers was founded in 1998 as a softball club by Jan Poulsen. Over the following years, the club expanded its activities to include baseball, including an organized youth and senior program.

Throughout its development, the club has had players and coaches with both Danish and international backgrounds, including people with experience from baseball environments in, among others, the USA and Mexico.


In 2025, the finals of the Danish Development League (DDL) was held for the first time ever on the club's home field at Trongårdsskolen in Kongens Lyngby.

Lyngby Jokers Baseball & Softball Club er en dansk baseball- og softballklub baseret i Kongens Lyngby. Klubben har både ungdoms- og seniorhold i baseball samt voksen hold i slowpitch softball, og deltager i danske ligaer samt internationale turneringer.


Lyngby Jokers blev grundlagt i 1998 som en softballklub af Jan Poulsen. I løbet af de efterfølgende år udvidede klubben sine aktiviteter til også at omfatte baseball, herunder et organiseret ungdoms- og seniorprogram.

Klubben har gennem sin udvikling haft spillere og trænere med både dansk og international baggrund, herunder personer med erfaring fra baseballmiljøer i blandt andet USA og Mexico.


I 2025 blev finalen i Danish Development League (DDL) for første gang nogensinde afholdt på klubbens hjemmebane ved Trongårdsskolen i Kongens Lyngby.
